Messaging with Other Players

"Messages" is where you can chat with other players one-on-one in individual spaces called "chat rooms" via direct messaging (DMs).

There are few ways to get a conversation going:

▼ Method 1: Starting a Chat Using the DM Icon

Tap the icon that looks like a paper airplane located on a player's profile page. This will open a chat room with the player where you can message them.

(You can also tap the same icon on your Home screen to go your Messages hub.)

Once there, tap the "New" button (looks like a plus sign) to move to the "Write New Message" screen. From here, you can select or search for a player.

1 - "Search for Player" Field
You can use the search feature to look for a particular player you'd like to message.

2 - Following List
You can also select a player to message from a list of people you already follow.

▼ Method 2: Returning to Previously Started Chat

Tap the DM icon on your Home screen to go to your Messages hub.
Then, tap your desired chat room from the displayed list. It's that easy!

▼ Managing Your Messages

If you would like to to remove a message or chat...

While viewing your Messages hub, tap and hold the chat you want to remove for a few seconds to bring up the option shown in the image below.

Tap "Leave chat room", and the chat (and its message history) will be deleted from the list. But don't worry! Even if you leave a chat room, you can still message that player and start chatting with them again at any time.

▼ What if I've gotten a message I don't like?

In the event that another player sends you inappropriate, bothersome, or uncomfortable messages, you are not obligated to respond to them.

If you would like to stop receiving messages from them, we encourage you to block (and in appropriate cases, report) said player.

You can block a player via the profile menu on their profile page. Tap the menu button in the upper right and then select "Block".

▼ Important Note:

At the end of the day, the messaging feature is intended to be a fun in-game aspect that allows players to safely and enjoyably interact and chat with each other.

It is NOT something to be use for soliciting real-world meetups, badgering others for favors, demanding replies or certain actions, or for any other not-tolerated behavior.

If it is discovered that a player has committed any fraud or misconduct using the messaging feature, that player's account may be banned permanently and without prior warning.
